Isagenix-Inspired Stroke Survivor Completes
1,051-Mile Bicycle Trek for CardioSEAL®

After losing weight with Isagenix products, Craig Carse chose to ride across 15 states for CardioSEAL®.

Chandler, Ariz. – Nov. 25, 2006 – Montana State University-Billings men’s basketball coach Craig Carse, 49, who suffered a stroke on May 28, 2005 and received a CardioSEAL® Septal Occluder in his heart, completed a 1,051-mile bicycle trek Aug. 3-14, 2006 for stroke awareness and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the implanted device. Carse says the weight-loss results and increased energy Isagenix products provided inspired him to take up cycling and later complete the trek.

The CardioSEAL® device, which allowed Carse to avoid open heart surgery, is designed to close various holes in the heart. He received the implant July 19, 2005.

On the 12-day journey from Montana to Pennsylvania, Carse promoted CardioSEAL® as well as Isagenix products in 15 states. His daily nutrition included two IsaLean Shakes and one meal of around 600 calories.

"The Isagenix product that we used to train, from a nutrition standpoint, has just been phenomenal," he told reporters at the close of the trek.

"Isagenix provided me with the ticket back to a healthy lifestyle," says Carse. "What I found was a higher level of energy, a natural ability to burn fat and cleanse my system, and a better level of rest."*

Carse, who started cycling to rehabilitate the right side of his body, neurologically damaged from the stroke, says the idea for the trek to promote CardioSEAL® never crossed his mind until he began using Isagenix products. "I used to struggle to ride a bike a mile," says Carse.

As part of the journey, Carse conducted up to three Isagenix meetings daily to introduce stroke victims to the products. Though Carse accepts no earnings from people he refers to Isagenix, he says he takes every chance he gets to introduce others to the products.

Polly Kovash, an Isagenix Associate from Billings, Mont., introduced Carse and his wife, Leslie, to the Isagenix products in May 2006.

"I needed to do something to increase my metabolism, control my diet, reduce my caloric intake and get more fit," says Carse. By following the Isagenix Cleansing and Fat Burning System and by cycling, Carse reduced his weight from more than 252 pounds to 184.**

Before Isagenix, Carse says he often felt embarrassed by his weight. "Now my wife says I need to quit losing weight," says Carse.
